Information we store

Snipe a Site stores the information needed to run your account and snipes, including your email address, password hash, session records, selected parks, trip dates, campsite criteria, hold status, and email verification or password reset tokens.

Email

Snipe a Site uses email for account verification, password reset, and campsite-found messages. Email delivery is handled by Resend.

Booking provider access

The app connects to the official booking provider so it can search for campsites and manage temporary holds. Final booking and payment still happen on the official booking website.

Data retention

Account and snipe data are kept as long as needed to operate the service, troubleshoot issues, and preserve account history. You can request removal of your account data by contacting the site owner.

Security

Passwords are stored as hashes, and production traffic is served over HTTPS through Cloudflare. No small app can promise perfect security, but Snipe a Site is designed to keep account data limited and practical.
